Sacramento's Premier Baseball League since 1984
Home of 62 World Series Championship Teams
Bill was raised in the small town of Rio Vista, along The Sacramento river, about 50 miles south of Sacramento. He was the youngest of six children born to Bill & Alma Robinson.
Bill started playing Baseball at the age of 7. Being left handed they sent him to 1’t base, Pitcher or the outfield. (what no 3’d base) that came later in life!
After graduating from Rio Vista High School, he went to San Joaquin Delta College and was a pitcher for two years. Not knowing at this time he was pitching to his future in-law Roy McDaniel, he thinks he struck him out, it’sfuzzy. After that he played 2 years atCa State Hayward, now known as Cal State East Bay.
Bill moved up to the Sacramento area in 1983, where he noticed a neighbor wearing a Baseball uniform, so a conversation started. Brian Pearson was that neighbor, and I thank him for having me come out to a practice.
Bill started in SMSBL in 1990, he played for about 4 years until his Daughter & Son got a little older and started playing sports themselves. He took a few years off to teach them the game he loves. lt was the greatest time! He got back in the SMSBL around 2001’ when he got a phone call from a good friend Derek Bulock, to play with the Cardinals.
It was the 4th best day of his life. 1) Marriage to Karen 2) Daughter Valerie 3) Son Anthony 4) The love for this game: BASEBALL!!!
He has met so many great people over the years that have the same love for the game, and is so very thankful for that.
Bill has been on many championship Cardinals teams both in league, the SMSBL Father Son tournament, and the MSBL
Father Son World Series Champions.
